The study that systematized several controlled and randomized trials about the impact of prenatal Yoga concluded that prenatal yoga can help reduce pelvic pain. It can also improve mental condition (stress, depression, and anxiety), physical condition (pain and pleasure in labor), and perinatal outcomes (obstetric complications and delivery time).
However, more studies must be conducted. The intervention content and means, and frequency varied in each study. Therefore, it is necessary to further examine the content, the means and the frequency of effective interventions which adapt to the characteristics of the individual and each outcome.
